Children of all ages love to go to school after a few initial hiccups. This is perhaps the best stage of learning and a phase that everybody reckons as a golden era. The carefree days with limitless fun makes school time one of the best ever. Now, that being said, it is also the best time for young children to get introduced to accountability by building a sense of purpose and responsibility within them. Commanding and authoritative positions make children become more discipline. Class monitor, head girl or chalk monitor can be given badges to make them feel as leaders.
One of the results of using school name badges is that the kids tend to appreciate the recognition at an early age which makes them do the right things. Many schools have now started using identity badges - a trend that has set in recently as opposed to earlier. Of course, there is a reason why these identity badges are being used. Besides, the reason that a person or student wearing a badge can be identified by others as 'one of us' which gives a secure feeling, it is also to help others outside the school identify the educational institution a kid belongs to.
Positions of trust do not come easily - a lesson that children must learn while they are in school. It helps them understand that many positions in life must be earned and are usually not handed over to them. The school badges like the board monitor, choir leader and others must be earned too. This encourages a child to work towards it which in turn builds a sense of competition and persuasion. (more...)
